Fresh 4 Fall 2022

Fresh 4 Fall continues to bring together people and organizations together to build a network of care and support around young people in our community. Fresh 4 Fall, originally hosted at the Kirkland Teen Union Building, served over 350 students its first year in 2014. The free event included hair cuts - provided by local salons, workshops on relationships, college prep, and skin care as well as a secondhand clothing boutique and nail shop all donated and lead by volunteers. Due to all things Covid we’ve had to reshape this event to provide the same support safely.

Fresh 4 Fall is now co-lead by Pono Pursuit LLC, Girls Giving Back, Be Kind 5 and 4 Tomorrow, bringing together our networks to fill in the gaps where larges organizations lack relationships. Via our digital procurement drive our volunteers were able to assemble 80 backpacks and 50 supply bags. The assembly event space was donated by the Northshore Y and was open to students to build their own bags on a first come first serve basis. With the generous support of Microsoft we were able to continue to reach our goal of supporting 300+ students this year.

By partnering with community based organizations and “third places” we are able to fill in the gaps where bigger organizations miss.
